We have a life time of experience and are proud to offer real wild pig hunting in a fair chase environment. This is a great adrenalin experience for a few mates or an excellent father & son/daughter bonding adventure.
Be prepared to get down & dirty if you want to stick a pig under the expert supervision of your guide, or alternatively you may prefer to just observe or capture the whole experience on film. The choice is yours.
We use trained hunting dogs fitted with GPS collars to maximize success. Although, with the ‘nature of the beast’, the latter cannot always be guaranteed. They are cunning and super smart beasts and really object to being cornered. However, you can rest assured that everything possible will be done to provide you with an experience to remember.

We can hunt everyday of the year and have access to both pine and native forests. We hunt Red or Rusa deer and cater for both the experienced and the novice hunter. This is a great opportunity for a couple of mates or a perfect father and son/daughter bonding adventure.
We offer our clients an affordable true hunting experience. No animals are behind fences or in any form of captivity. This is the ‘real deal’with no frills. While the pine forest lands are more undulating, the native forest terrain can be quite steep and therefore a good level of fitness is required.
These deer are born and bred wild within the forests,so their natural instinct is survival. They are wary of any strange scent or noise and can bolt and disappear in an instance. So it is for this reason, we cannot always guarantee success, but rest assured, your guide will be doing everything to make your hunt a day to remember.

POSSUM TRAPPING PACKAGES

Now you can have the opportunity to accompany a professional possum trapper on his line.
In this two day adventure you will learn just how to catch possums for the fur trade.
As possums are nocturnal animals and only feed at night, the traps are therefore set out during the day and then checked and cleared the following day.
You will be able to fully participate in a ‘hands on’ experience, or if you prefer you can watch, learn and enjoy the bush scenery.

POSSUM SHOOTING PACKAGES

Enjoy the thrill of spolighting & shooting possums in the bush at night
The Australian brush tail possum was introduced into New Zealand in 1837 to establish a fur trade. They adapted so well to their new habitat, they were later declared as pests because of the amount of vegetation destruction they caused to our forests.
The fur trade has had its up’s and down’s over the years but is now, once again in heavy demand. The possum hunter either skins the animal or plucks the fur. Once sold, the fur is often blended with merino wool to produce warm, light weight fashion garments and other products. The brush tail possum fur, unlike other furs, has unique qualities. The fiber will not freeze and the only other animal in the world with this same characteristic is the polar bear.
There are mainly brown/black possums and grey possums with variations of these two colors of fur. They are marsupial mammals. There young are born tiny and then raised in the mothers external pouch. They are called ‘joeys’ and once big enough can often be seen carried on their mothers back.
They are nocturnal animals and come out to feed only after dark. Spot lighting therefore allows the hunter to see them in the trees and amongst the scrub. Their eyes appear red in the light. A lot of walking is often involved, so a reasonable level of fitness is required.
